Ran the Shires. Felt good until mile 23, then shit hit the fan and I faded hard. Felt good throughout. Slowed things down from time to time, but pushed a little too hard I think. Didn't have anyone around me to pace either so... Kind of disappointed with awards. Maple syrup. Would have liked some sort of little keep sake type thing. Did about a half mile warm up. Another 2.2 when I got home with the family.
Got a nasty cramp mile 10ish or so. Didn't stop like CHaD, but definitely slowed me down some. Ended up curling over, then leaning back. That seemed to loosen things up a bit. Came just after I had a little water. Need to figure this water thing out. Might just not have any for CBHM, just a bit to dump on my noggin.
No food at the race before hand, so I was running on oatmeal I last ate at 5:30 or so. Not too bad.
Caught a lot of flak for this race. Kind of pissed.
